About us - Rolling Brooks Gallery

Welcome to Rolling Brooks Gallery, established in 2014, which originated from a private collector's passion for quality collectibles. The collection began with an unexpected acquisition of a Mandau Dayak head-hunters sword and has since evolved into a diverse array of items, including hand-carved timber artworks, antique camphor chests, and East Asian edged weapons.

The Samurai Katana has been a significant focus, reflecting the collector's involvement in Japanese sword and martial arts, which led to a deeper appreciation for the beauty of Tsuba. With formal studies in institutional collections, including management of acquisitions and preservation, the collector transitioned to creating Rolling Brooks Gallery. A streamlined acquisitions policy was implemented, emphasizing Tsuba, carved camphor chests, and collectible curios.

Currently, the gallery is in the early stages of digitizing the collection and is exploring the feasibility of establishing a physical location for public access.
